The Great Continental rabbit, who is now seven years old, has grown significantly in size over the past three years and currently weighs one and a half stone. Rescued from a chaotic environment where she shared a cage with six Yorkies and ten rats, Bluebell has had a rough past – she had a hole in one ear, likely from a cigarette burn, and part of her other ear pecked off by a parrot. Nevertheless, she remains incredibly friendly. Her owner, Ms. Murray, shared that whenever she returns home, Bluebell hears her at the door and starts flicking her ears in excitement, which Ms. Murray finds adorable. Despite a challenging start in life, Bluebell is thriving and bringing joy to those around her.

Ms. Murray shared Bluebell’s dietary preferences, mentioning her breakfast of Shredded Wheat or banana and sultanas, lunch consisting of black kale, red hay, and pellets, and her favorite Rich Tea biscuit as an evening snack. Despite having her own food, Bluebell still enjoys stealing food, especially when she sees others eating. Ms. Murray recalled Bluebell’s habit of swiping McDonald’s chips from her previous owner and her love for Jaffa Cakes, even though she can’t actually eat them. Bluebell has a particular fondness for radishes and broccoli but dislikes cucumber. In addition to food thievery, Bluebell has a mischievous side, having escaped to a nearby farm where she was found lounging amongst horses. Despite her escapades, Bluebell is typically relaxed and enjoys sitting in her favorite spots in the back garden. Everyone adores Bluebell, with Ms. Murray declaring her the best animal she has ever had.
