Samuel Eto’o Achieves Lifelong Goal: Using Entire Football Career Earnings to Purchase £18.5M House in Italy

Corriere Dello Sport has reported that Samuel Eto’o, the ex-forward for Chelsea and Everton, has apparently made a substantial investment to purchase a villa in Italy.

According to reports, Eto’o reportedly bought the £18.5 million estate in Italy, disregarding concerns raised by residents about the supposed Tutankhamun curse.

According to reports, the soccer player from Cameroon has recently purchased Villa Altachiara, a charming historic estate situated in Portofino, Italy, not far from Genoa.

The villa used to belong to Lord Carnarvon, who was well-known for his connection to the rumored ‘Curse of the Pharaoh.’

On February 16, 1923, Villa Altachiara became part of a historical moment when Lord Carnarvon and the famous English archaeologist Howard Carter bravely entered the supposedly ‘cursed’ burial site of the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun. It was in this momentous occasion that they unearthed the tomb of this legendary pharaoh.

It has been reported that among the 58 people who attended the revealing of Tutankhamun’s forgotten tomb, eight of them passed away within the following twelve years.
Despite the supposed curse attached to the estate’s background, Eto’o went ahead and purchased Villa Altachiara, contributing to the already rich history of this historic Italian property.
